When I express concern on this board that many of our children's teachers in the field of higher education advocate a political philosophy that has laid waste to continents and killed over 80 million people this century, the usual response is either complete puzzlement, or something along the lines of, "oh, you stupid, stupid conservative."
A professor that advocated National Socialism, or one that advocated white supremacy, would be immediately skinned alive and dragged across the Bonneville Salt Flats behind a team of wild horses. Yet they can teach the politics of Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Kim Chong-il, and Fidel Castro, and no one blinks an eye.
The fact that Marxism specifically, and totalitarian socialism/collectivism in general, are almost completely immune from criticism in this country implies to me that there is something poisonous at the foundations of this country, and that things may get worse before they get better.
People like your Prof. Jensen have a major disconnect with reality, and yet are allowed to teach this crap to our children. I hear your hope in your last paragraph that many students are not buying the line, but I just don't know.
Now I just have to wait for some idiot to miss my point entirely and berate me for trying to censor communist teachers.
