That taking reasonable precautions in airport security, including a certain level of justifiable, common sense profiling, is somehow a surrender to terrorists?
That the not-so-random personal inspections are offensive, or only offensive if not performed in a quick, professional and courteous manner?
Of course it's a bit annoying to have to step out of line, take your shoes off for a moment, have a security guard look through your take-on bag and personal affects, pat you down and pass the wand over you from head to toe, but really, so what? No big deal. It's hardly making my life miserable. To be honest, the security guard was surprisingly polite and professional as he went about his business, it only took a few minutes, and I wasn't offended in the least. I'd be a lot more annoyed if the security guards were asleep at their posts instead...
In a certain light, I could be mistaken for a young Middle-eastern male - so could a lot of us - so I'm not terribly surprised at being pulled out of line for a little extra attention. I care much more about HOW it's done than the fact that it's done.
