George Scithers was Owlswick Press; also a staunch member of the Phila. SF Society when I was an active fan, and a neighbor when I lived in West Philly. He was also the first editor of Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, when it went by that title as a Street & Smith publication. If you own a copy of Heinlein's Glory Road, look at the dedication.
The recipes are real and generally familiar - they substitute "long pig" for the shorter, four-legged version. Definitely Not Kosher, but fun... and probaby tasty, too (with a re-substitution of the main ingredient, please!).
