It should be a great piece of propaganda.

"Of course, since in our modern age the source of a statement is far more important than the truth of it, this well-written article will be discounted by Those Who Count in our society."

I'm not sure about "Those Who Count", but it's a great piece of propaganda for Israel, as it should be. (The author is a former Prime Minister of Israel, in case you didn't notice. Would you accept him at face value?)

Israel is doing a splendid job of using the American effort against terrorism to justify their terrorizing the Palestinians.

Now, there are a number of great examples of terrorism in the last century. One that's forgotten a lot, probably because they are Asians, is the Japanese occupation of China. Terrorism on a massive scale, sort of like the Israeli occupation of Palestine. The Chinese, at least, kinda had an army. Uniforms, and so on. But the crimes were committed against civilians. But maybe shooting civilians, mayors, policemen and so on wasn't "terrorism". Most people say it was. Was perpetrated by something less than a democracy, though.

And now, getting back to it, another one which is forgotten is the American firebombing of civilians in Kobe, Tokyo, Dresden, Hamburg and others. That firebombing is directed against the civilian population to try to destroy their will to resist. There were uniformed armies against which the war was fought, but these bombings were directed against non-combatants. (No one tried to say that EVERY German was a "soldier".)

So it it isn't "totalitarian" regimes which practice terrorism. A democracy, such as Israel, is capable of it. (An army shooting civilians, let's say accidentally, then denying access to medical care isn't "terrorism"?)

When Israeli helicopters stand off and mount night-time rocket attacks against a civilian neighborhood, is the "collateral damage" really "collateral"? Or is it terrorism?

Let's define "terrorism" as acts within the last 50 years, not by a uniformed army, with no hope of hitting a legitimate tactical target, and performed by someone who does not vote for their political leader, such as a member of a tribe. Now you got it.

Gee whiz! You guys are silly. The Palestinians are using terror as a tactic. So are the Israelis, and to try to claim they aren't leads you to tap dance all over the place with definitions, exclusions, and "they asked for its".
