Oh, well.
Doesn't quite cut it. This is not an "intense" war, in the sense of infantry attacks, patrols in peril, and so on. And in this case there was all the time in the world for these guys to figure it out.
I'm not saying it won't happen, but when MOST of your casualties come from yourselves, someone should get upset. "That's the way it goes" wouldn't seem to be particularly comforting after a while, especially to wives, husbands and parents.
