What's funny is that totalitarian socialism has done such a good job of mainstreaming itself and sweeping the oceans of blood it has shed out of political memory, that if the candidate were a full-blown Marxist, no one in England or France would have blinked an eye.

"Fascist" is the foulest of curse words in Europe. "Communist" is just a political opinion.
