We are not talking "families" or "teams" here. You are comparing the U.N. to other cooperative organizations of individuals and groups who meet and work together as equals. There is no equivalence.
Any organization that sets totalitarian dictatorships as morally and operatively equivalent to free societies, as though any real mutual benefit is possible, is corrupt at its base. One cannot get mutual benefit between totalitarian systems and free systems. The only thing a totalitarian system has to offer a free system is simply refraining from looting or destroying it. The dictator's price of admission was their ability to threaten the free world with their nuclear missiles. Period.
Of the five permanent members of the Security Council, two of them have been, for many years, Marxist totalitarian dictatorships who between them have annihilated nearly one hundred million of their own citizens this century, not counting losses from external wars. Red China is on the Security Council. Taiwan, Free China, is out in the cold.
It would be no different than a banking committee that offered seats to both depositors and bank robbers. What does the bank robber have to gain from the depositors, and what do the depositors have to gain from the robbers? Think about it.
