<After all, one of the more reasonable people is saying that Israel has a continuing right to settle on any property once occupied by its army.
"Rights" have little or nothing to do with it. Annexing conquered territory is as old as the first human who picked up a pointed stick. Almost every last bloody national border in existence today has got a war behind it somewhere, or the threat of one.
Even had Israel decided to formally annex the conquered territories--which they did not--to single out Israel as some barbaric nation for this practice would have been the height of hypocricy.
