I DO NOT BELIEVE GEORGE BUSH KNEW ABOUT THE WTC ATTACKS OR COULD HAVE PREVENTED THEM.
This issue is beginning to smell bad. Even the McLaughlin Report, a group which seems to be to the right of Pat Buchanan, and has Eleanor Clift around so they don't have to interupt each other, was pretty hard on the Bush administration. Both for not collecting and collating the information, and for not letting people know what they had known sooner.
Some responsible lawmakers, both Republican and Democratic, are wondering why this administration didn't let Congress, and others, know what information they did have long, long before now and isn't willing to work with Congress on trying to figure out what happened and a way to use information to prevent the next attack.
The energetic attacks on legislators who are charged under the Constitution with being involved with the solution of problems are a concern. It's a bit frightening to see them attack people who wonder what more they knew as unpatriotic for asking.
And as the McLaughling Group wondered, why are we only learning now what they did know, and when they knew it?
Your basic government coverup has some common elements. First, there are secrets, information leaks out slowly. Next investigations are stonewalled. Third, the patriotism of people who look into it is questioned.
Maybe it's just their natural bent for secrecy, but it's starting to waddle and quack. And, at this point I don't think they could have prevented it.

What did they know, and when?
