Current Events » in reply to Islamic Terrorism sneaks into Europe…through the Bosnian war-ravaged communities

Re: Interesting . . .

An example of devolution in progress.

BTW, radical does not always equate to terrorist.

Anyway, a somewhat educated nation on hard times can only find aid through the propagation of myths, the education of the young against progress, and the establishment of an exact religious stricture.

With small children to feed and little chance at a decent job, many women accept the offer, which Selimbegovic fears will lead to a new generation of Wahabbi-educated children. And maybe a very different Bosnia than she knew.

I think she could bank on it.

This caught me, though:
Although few Bosnians express an interest in having new mosques, particularly considering the current ones still remain mostly empty even at Friday noon prayer, Islamic charities insist on portioning much of their aid toward their construction.

“They look very out of place here and sit empty; the original mosques here in Sarajevo typically don't fill up. But the Saudis insist on building new ones that hold 5,000 worshipers.”

[ ... ]

“It is difficult to tell these charities, but we do. We say 'We really have asked for a school and a hospital.' (The Saudi charities) respond, 'No. We will build you a mosque.' But because it's a $5 million investment that will employ 100 workers to build for two years, we let them build their mosque. But no one goes to it.”

Sounds like the dying efforts of a failing culture. The husks of Islam dotting the horizon, with future generations wondering who they were.
