Re: Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan

Thank you Tom....:)

your point about the effects on world public opinion of seeing the effects of these weapons used in anger (Should, God forbid) this happen is one I'd overlooked. And I think your analysis is correct.......I can't imagine what China might do though... Nuclear blasts on thier southern border? Millions of displaced people fleeing the fighting crashing over thier border.. and every other border in the region for that matter.

What such a war might do to my country could be catastrophic, I know that. We have large populations of people of Pakistani and Indian descent, with families and ties back to both countries, liveing side by side here.

If India and Pakistan go to war, and nuke each other, we'll see mass fighting on British Streets........ and the Racist Right ( We have an out and out racist party here ,who have already gained ground in recent elections) Will make HUGE strides.

And if Pakistan should fight, and lose a conventional war?

Well Pakistan will collapse, totally... it will become another "Failed" State... a vast home to those who hate "The West" Like Afghanistan, Somalia etc.. and we certainly don't need any additions to that list!:(

And the impact on the rest of the Muslim world would be equally disasterous....

Consider the following list.........

Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Libya, Palestine, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Syria ( the Golan hieghts) have all faced direct military attack by the US, or it's Proxy, Israel, in the last two decades or so...........More obscure muslim societies with funny names like Chechenya, Kosovo, et al have taken a pounding from the former soviet republic of Russia or it's former proxies...( Afghanistan really hit the jackpot of course, getting pounded first by the Soviets, then by us).... and if Pakistan collapses?

It would be yet another "proof" that the world, orchestrated by the US, has declared outright war on all Muslims everywhere.

Would a "rational" muslim see it that way?

Why shouldn't he?

Ten countries... all muslim... all subjected to US\Israeli attack......a further list of muslim countries attacked while the west carefully looks the other way and ask no questions about the motives or methods of the attacking party... (Chechenya is the scene of horrific war crimes, we all know it, but have decided to do nothing whatsoever about it)... then Pakistan, weakened by Us demands that it abandons it's allies and friends , the Taliban and the Kashmiri's... is finished off by India.

Rational or Irrational....The OBL's of the world have no problems whatso-ever building a case against the "Free west". :(
