Current Events » in reply to Bush Jr acccedes to Sharon: Negotiations without Arafat

What?

I would think any meaningful negotiations would need to involve people with credibility with the Palestinians.

I suppose Sharon could "negotiate" with some guy living in an Israeli prison representing the Palestinians. Maybe someone who lives in the settlements. After all, they're in Palestine.

The two of them could come up with a dandy agreement. He could then accuse the Palestinians of violating the agreement, and kill the rest of them.

And, Americans would say that because the Palestinians hadn't lived up to the "agreement", they would have asked to be killed.

By the way, Sharon is a war criminal, a military leader who is actively conducting an invasion of the Palestinian homeland. (And in the Arab world, the US is actively participating in that invasion. Sharon leads a government which discriminates against citizens based on religion. Sort of as if Hindus or Buddhists couldn't own property in the US. But the US protects the Israelis from international recriminations for that with the veto in the UN Security Council. The world sees the US as discriminating, too, because of that.)

Arafat has won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Who the hell is Sharon to say who will represent the Palestinians?

So he picks someone. What a setup.
