Current Events » in reply to Central Asia Gas Deal Underscores the Real Reasons for the Afghan War . . .

The point of the article seemed clear.

"I really can't see what this article is driving at -- unless they're finally discovering (again) that life just ain't fair."

What it seems to be confirming is the conspiratists idea that the real reason to destabilize the Taliban was to sign a pipeline agreement with a friendly Afghan regime.

That idea was held by influential people in Europe, many, many folks in the Middle East, and lots more in Asia.

I personally didn't believe it. Might have to start.

Those same conspiratists believe that security was lax in the US hoping for a small attack. (Not WTC, that was BIG.)

We know security was lax. Very lax.

Some of us wonder about the real agenda with Iraq. That smells much worse than Afghanistan.
