Actually for hundreds of years AFTER Islam was founded Arab Islamic cultures led the world while Christian cultures wallowed self-satisfied in barbarism with a few exceptions like the monks in Ireland copying documents. But in any case Christianiity was stagnant and barbaric. It was only over the last 400-500 years that Islamist cults captured and perverted Islam by co-opting the movement. On a smaller more recent scale, similar trends perverting decent movements can be seen where extremist anti-growth radicals have totally captured environmentalism, a perverted gay sub-culture (unlike mainstream gays normally not associated with pedophilia) infiltrated and corrupted the Catholic hierarchy and socialistic leftists ideas control the DNC depite the moderate views of many party members. However, I do think that Islamists, those bent on ensuring that all countries and all people fall under Islamic Law and religious governments must be under attack from us. Their meme is a deadly one.
