"We" fear taking extreme action, simply because it will supposedly make "us" no better than "them", when the truth is once "we" eliminate "them", "we" become easily better than "they", simply because "they" will no longer exist.
I would prefer not taking this rout. It's a very fine line to walk, but in this light, "we" would become the better, simply by being the survivors.
