Re: Jews in France

Hi Tom,

not Israel...the USA.

I found this passage of import:

"Eric de Rothschild, 61, president of the Rothschild Foundation, worries about anti-Semitic incidents in the suburbs but notes that 'statistically, non-Jews are targeted as often as Jews.' "

Translation: The crime rate of the young muslims in France is so high that the assaults on the jews only equal 50% of the total crimes committed.

The French have always had problems - after squatting over a small hole in the ground to relieve one's waste - one figures that out. It's all too often a world of illusion - of high culture and intellectual elites - riding on an undercurrent of provincial village mentalities.

The fact that the Parliament has shifted right will ease up thing s for the French Jewry, probably through more stringent immigration laws and stronger enforcement of criminal statutes.

One of the major problems the jews in France have - is that they are almost all leftists (as most in France are) and they do not realize that the left is far more intolerant, far-more hate filled than the right ever was.

The shop owner fessing up to being an anti-semite is proof of how these on the left have simply held their tongues until they felt they could safely voice their prejudices.

Hitler is probably responsible for turning countless numbers away from anything perceived of or portrayed as "right" or "extreme-right" - even though Hitler himself was a role-model for leftist totalitarians in which individual liberties were vanquished for the good of the state. The fatherland was a parallel to the collective or the union. My relatives had to hang a picture of Hitler on the wall everytime someone from the state would visit (As did all loyal Germans) - just like the Lenin, Stalin leader-worship fostered by the communists. It went down and into the desk drawer as soon as the guests left. Everyone lived in fear - just as they did in the Soviet Union. Most like to think everyone was gung-ho but this is just another illusion misinterpreted by history.

The Nazis were a terror group who ruled through fear and appealing to petty self-interest. The form of government was not a republic, but much more akin to a communist dictatorship.

The SS were like the KGB. The high ranking Nazis had about as much in common with the average right-wing german - as did the Soviet leadership have with the social-leaning resident of Moscow.

It is this long-held illusion which has kept the right-wing of most nations very low in jewish supporters. Roosevelt and later Truman of course supported the portrayal of Nazis and right-wingers, even though they were much closer to militant socialists.

If one needs proof - just look at who are the most virulent in their anti-semitism. They are now almost always militant-leftists who feel no apprehension or restraint in their prejudice, because it is righteous. This same righteous prejudice was held by Hitler - another militant-socialist.

Hitler came to power by a group of unintelligent young punks supporting him and doing his dirtywork.

The situation in France is very similar - except the unintelligent young punks are not the sons of out-of-work Germans but are now of immigrant Muslims.

Just my take on some things,

PS
This is not a condemnation of all the muslims in France - or even a majority - simply a sizable number. Nor is it a blanket condemnation of the left as being more secretly prejudiced than the right they so often castigate - though a sizable number applies there as well.
