Monarchs, Popes, Emperors, Caliphs, Khans, Pharoahs, etc., are/were not socialists
In the pageant of history, dictatorship has been the rule. To look only at the century in which we grew up for examples is to make my point that modern memory is short.
That is, unless you consider the Pharoahs to be socialists because of their massive state-run public works projects. ;)
