Babies two years apart are about right. They grow up close to each other, and they're usually in the same schools. Not only can you double up on trips for picking them up and dropping them off, but they can kinda keep an eye on each other. I t makes them much more secure in the wide world of schools.
Wait until you go shopping one day, and one races off to the right, and the other races off to the left as soon as you get in the store. Nobody put that one in the manual.
Raising kids are a pure joy, and the ultimate in sacrifice and patience.
>So please keep the "blowing smoke" comment to yourself. I am raising a kid who will become a teenager, so what I say does apply.
Ha ha ha, I'm not dissing you in the least, just smugly re-assuring you you don't even have a clue as to what you'll go through when they become teenagers. Letting them drive is even more gut wrenching. Enforcing curfews, roaming distance..........ha ha ha.
I got lucky, but I have few grey hairs to say I survived it.
So to speak.
>No I haven't watched MTV since I was a teenager, I can only imagine. However watching current TV shows teaches the exact opposite of the values I wish my kid to learn. Which is why parenting must start much earlier.
This is exactly what I thought, but the new breed of teenager tries to blend in with it's surroundings. It's peer pressure. Tell them what you expect, but also leave them to their choices.
You can rope them in, but the tougher you are, the more they'll rebel. You'll see.
Becoming part of the PTO is a good idea, and keeping track of the school policies.
I was always involved, right up to the end.
Once again, congratulations on the good news.
You'll really have a full plate.....and a full household.
