<Earth 'will expire by 2050', although the call to colonize planets is new from this group.

I've heard that even a broken clock is right twice a day (assuming it isn't digital). That seems to be a better track record than some of the doom-and-gloom forecasters like Paul Ehrlich and the Club of Rome. Given their track record, it makes me wonder why anyone thinks they have any credibility.
