The doomsayers haven't been right, yet, it's true.

And, looking at pictures of the Earth from space one is aware this is a finite place and a closed system.

Next, looking at the population increases, the rising demand for resources including food and power, one can't help but be aware there WILL come a time when that demand can't be met.

When one looks at the accumulating by-products of Mans activities, one can't help but be aware there WILL come a time when they can no longer be absorbed.

Just look at the curves - increasing demand, increasing accumulations, finite resources, finite space.

While it doesn't take any particular genius to see that, it does take a particular foolishness to ignore it.
