Re: Yes, ironic . . .

. . . TIC, even -- but I see a president attempting to correct a major wrong in his country as being anything but a joke -- particularly when my butt's sitting in that same middle of the major wrong.

This is also something Clinton could never do, simply because he could never be taken seriously. No matter what “great idea” that admin. came up with, there always seemed to be some Oval Office swindle or scandal to swerve him from his goal. If it wasn’t one thing, it was another -- and admittedly the Republican Party wasn’t much of a national credit in those eight years.

Today, the prez travels virtually unopposed -- though this is beginning to change. There are ripples, but the man is on a recognizable mission, and one I would very much like to see completed.

No, B, it's not a joke -- not to me anyway -- and I applaud the current admin.’s efforts in the matter. My fervent wish, for the moment, is that the changes forthcoming will actually improve Corporate America, and not offer a slew of new loopholes for the money-grubbers (btw, that's called wishful thinking).
;^)

Many changes do I see with this administration, thanks to the helping hands of a misguided UN and crooked (as in "bent") corporate accountants everywhere. I wonder what's next.

Dan (now, if Bush could just keep his mouth shut in public...)
