Current Events » in reply to The war on terrorism

Pardon me while I stifle my laugh.

<"The war on terror has made this whole situation far more urgent," said Peter Peterson, an investment banker and chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations. "If we're going to fight that war effectively we'll need the cooperation of a lot of countries."
.
The report was written by a 35-member panel that included news executives, former diplomats and scholars of the Middle East. It recommends a sweeping overhaul of an array of exchange and broadcast programs intended to promote cross-cultural understanding and to sell America's policies abroad."

Ok...so an investment banker, news executives and scholars of the middle east believe the US is unpopular - "especiallly in the middle east"

Hmmm. Is this news or a surprise?

Of course not.

It is simply all these little articles that are being put out there to CREATE the illusion of increased discontent - the left around the world and at home always hates the rights policy - nothing has changed at all. The only thing that has changed is that the left in the US are finding it hard to suppress their traitorous urges, and hope that because they see a few less US flags on cars, garage doors - that somehow everyone has forgotten what's going on and its safe to crawl out of their labyrinths and let their dark side run rampant all over the papers and the tube.

However, if they think this administration is going to supplicatingly bow down before all the inferior nations of the world and say "Pweeze mister leftist or mister foweign nationwal... pweeze wont you pweeze wike us?" - are they in for a BIG surprise!
