Bush got what? A bunch more than Torricelli, and not prosecuted. Heck, Bush has one of the Enron looters as Secretary of the Army.

Sets the tone, doesn't it? I mean, Clinton was worthless scum, but he didn't seem to screw the public. Bush and Cheney made very, very good livings doing just that. (How come Cheney has disappeared again? Just that he used Halliburton to screw the public isn't enough. Must be either sick or trying to pressure folks from coming up with more.)

Nope, Torricelli deserves the clink, the slam, the rockpile, that's true. But if he got 5 years, your guys would get 500 or 5000.

Looking to DC for morality, justice and truth is like looking to Sharon for mercy or Arafat for handsome. It just ain't there, ain't gonna be there, and ones choices are either cynicism or disappointment. Take your pick.
