One thing a lot of Amazon purchases will do for you is get you a nice collection of boxes of all sizes. Zappos comes in boxes you can easily reuse. Lands End stuff comes in envelopes that are not very reusable. You do often need a computer and printer to create the shipping labels.
Zappos will generate a free return using either UPS or USPS. If you use the latter, you can just hand it to the mailman.
