Current Events » in reply to Cultural diversity can be good

So what's the point?

"There are few cultures that cannot add something worth having but they must be fully integrated into our ways and values."

If they must be fully integrated into our ways, what's the point of even bringing them in? I agree that cultures can share many beneficial ideas and insights, but in an age of teleconferencing and global communications, cultural exchanges can take place from one's respective homeland. I mean if 65% of the rapes in Norway, and who knows what percentages of other violent crimes, are committed by a tiny, and I do mean tiny, non European minority, are the "potential" benefits worth the real harm being done to the native inhabitants? I don't think so, mosques and arabic food in exchange for gang rapes and murders. That doesn't sound like a fair exchange to me. Maybe it's time the Norwegians showed these intruders some good ole' fashioned Viking hospitality.
