Re: Absolutely superb

I don't have the details of the settlement, which the lawyers are squatting on, so I'm operating with one hand tied behind my back, but they did not admit to any form of criminal act. They settled a lawsuit. As hundreds of corporations, private citizens, and others could tell you, there is one hell of a long gap between being guilty of a crime and settling a lawsuit instead of going broke trying to defend yourself.

Pending further information other than the single AP story I have seen, that's where I'm going to leave it.

Best example of this (from memory) was the Denny's shakedown, where black organizations attacked Denny's for being racist. Denny's settled, rather than going through what it would take in money and bad publicity to prove that it would be physically impossible for a vast, cross-country franchise chain to institutionalize any form of racism.

BTW, nice to have you back in the ring, good buddy!
