You might ask yourself, why wasn't there a cover story? What cover story would they use? I would have a hard time thinking up a plausible or defensible reason for dragging a teenaged girl out and shooting her dead. Who knows? Maybe if they had put her in a cell, she would have bent open the bars, killed all the guards, and escaped by leaping over the wall. Maybe they've had a lot of trouble keeping teenaged girls in custody. They can be deadly, and I supposed killing them outright is the only solution.
Or maybe they are just the kind of goons who kill teenaged girls.
As for the Israeli "cover story," I assume more information will come out. The Israelis may explain why they shot these four people instead of arresting them. I don't believe they were armed. The Palestinians may explain why these four had wirecutters, saws, and other break-in equipment and were crawling through a restricted zone early in the morning and breaking through a gate. Maybe their feet were sore.
It is worth noting that the Israelis are investigating these and other civilian deaths, and have apologized for them. At least they think that killing civilians is wrong. The Israeli Defense Minister is also being reamed out for "botched" operations by the political opposition (Unlike the Palestinians, Israelis have political opposition).
