When Mandela makes those statements, he becomes the evil guy, doesn't he?
A man who spent 29 years in jail in a country that knew apartheid, a man who understood that non-violence was a better way to achieve reconciliation, a man who won the Nobel Peace prize deservedly, a man who is world wide respected has a right to an opinion and he's being asked to give one.
Why not open the eyes and think about all his arguments (which are largely shared, all over the "pale blue dot")?
I've heard Richard Holbrook say something very interesting the other day (on BBCWorld, perhaps):
There is very little anti-americanism around the world, today, but there is a lot more anti-american policyism.
