<"1)To terrorize: The US lives in fear of other attacks; the democracy is unable to prevent and foresee other attacks."
We are not living in fear. We are living in awareness that potential attacks are going to be part of our lives indefinitely. While attacks can't be completely prevented, we are now better able to foresee and we probably have prevented some attacks.
"2)Western nation, the US in front, have returned to the classic states relationships, considering, , that the terrorists were using camps in countries, camps under the supervision of those countries. That's why after Afghanistan, it's going to be Iraq's turn, then another country later on, which in turn will shrink the number of US allies and feed future terrorist networks (because camps are only accessory to their actions). The holy war OBL was looking for might very well happen when the terrorist v democracies opposition will be replaced by an unfortunate civilization shock, which no one wishes.
A chaotic world, focal point for recruiting all kinds of would be kamikazes, isn't it what any terrorist leader looks for?"
Much of this remains to be seen. There is likely to be some polarization but I believe that our alliances among democratic, secular states will strengthen as the terrorist attrocities continue. There is little chance that terrorists can gain allies among free nations and I trust that our conduct in this war will convince free states that we have no imperialistic goals.
"3) OBL has managed, with a little help from the White House administration, to vanish from the list of priorities, in favor of Saddam.
Washington must face multiple contradictions which advantage its enemies, Not those from Bagdad, but the true enemies of democracy wherever they hide.
War against terrorism isn't a war like the others and the winner might not be the one we think."
As you mentioned above, it is most likely that OBL is dead and he is therefore no longer a priority. The followers that will continue his mission have dispersed and will be run to ground wherever they hide. Any state that would provide the fanatics with WMD must be confronted and neutralized.
This is a war like no other. It is a war of secularism against religious fanaticism. Since our principles require that we minimize loss of life, the war may be long and painful but the outcome is certain. Freedom and truth will prevail against ignorance and evil dogma.
