They all specified the liberation of Kuwait, not the overthrow of Saddam. You may not like it but those are the facts.
UNSCR 660
UNSCR 674
UNSCR 687
UNSCR 687
Persian Gulf War Resolution passed by Congress in January, 1991.
Note how the resolution passed by Congress authorized the use of force necessary to force Iraq to comply with UNSCR 678 (removal of Iraqi forces from Kuwait), not the removal of Saddam.
In a fine case of historical hindsight (or revisionism), we can both wish that Saddam had been eliminated back in 1991. It didn't happen and there are good reasons why.
Yes, US and Coalition forces were inside of Iraq. However, that's a far cry from sending them into Baghdad and other Iraqi cities to search for Saddam. Urban warfare is especially hazardous. Just ask the Germans who fought in places like Stalingrad and Leningrad (if you can find one still alive) or the US Rangers from Somalia.

Go read the UN resolutions and the Congressional authorization to use force
