From the Washington Post.
This stuff is priceless.
...Streisand created a stir last week when she sent Gephardt a forceful letter urging him to stand up to President Bush on Iraq and chiding, "It is time for the Democrats to get off the defensive and go on the offensive."
Gephardt joked about the letter in a speech after Streisand's performance.
"Some of the Republicans thought that was cute," he said. "Well, what I want to say to my friends in the Republican Party is, eat your heart out. I get faxes from Barbra Streisand, they get faxes from Rush Limbaugh and Pat Robertson."
At least Limbaugh can spell, and to my knowledge, neither sends faxes to the Republicans nor receives them. If Gephardt thinks that getting political advice from a mollusc-mind like Streisand makes him look good, he may be mistaken.
Barbra's commentary, musical and otherwise, can be found here. Pretty much speaks for itself. It goes without saying that in the socialist paradise she envisions, Barbra Streisand would still be riding limousines and showing up at political galas, as pampered as any Soviet sports star. The rest of the country wouldn't be as lucky.
This airhead ADVISES the Democrats, folks. Keep that in mind.
Barbra goes all out for Democrats
