He's got the background, as well as the notoriety.

Of course he'd lose. The Clinton years hangs on him like an albatross -- and if Clinton raises so much as a finger to support him, the race would fall to the Republicans like a stacked deck. The media would LOVE it!.

And he'd have to shave. Post WW II facial hair in the White House?!
