For instance: (Trashy citation) - "In fact, if Bush and Cheney are doing the bidding of the oil industry, someone needs to explain why the American Petroleum Institute lobbied for the lifting of sanctions prior to the 9/11 attacks. Also, you might ask why oil prices go up when war becomes more likely, and go down when the prospects for peace improve."
Response - Halliburton and Cheney were lobbying for an end to the sanctions prior to 9-11, WHEN THERE WAS NO CHANCE OF INVADING THE COUNTRY AND HAVING THE AMERICAN PUBLIC PAY FOR THE OIL WITH TAXPAYERS MONEY AND THEIR KIDS LIVES.
Halliburton did business with Iraq through a subsidiary when Bush was CEO. So much for the morality of it all.
(Trashy citation) - "WE HELPED SADDAM IN THE 1980S/WE IGNORED HIS GASSING KURDS
The simple response to all arguments along these lines is: "So what?"
Response - What you lose is the moral high road. You can't talk about what a rotten SOB Saddam is for gassing people without including yourselves and your President as being just as immoral.
What garbage. People like that vote. Even in Florida. Especially in Florida.
