. . . yet you seem to have a problem with an educated, thinking man's right to vote.
Interesting.
Anyway, you're still blindly harping on and on regarding past issues and, as Goldberg so eloquently argued, "So what?"
First of all, the threat of nukes (not necessarily our own, btw) going off inside the borders of Iraq are very real. This would be bad for the oil industries. Saddam also has a habit for blowing up oil reserves when he loses his fights, and since these are on his home grounds, it remains very possible that he would poison the interconnecting Middle East fields with bio/chem. If he can’t have it, no one can. This, too, is bad for the oil industries.
The best approach to cut a good deal with Iraq is STILL to just cut a good deal with Iraq.
Oil is not the issue.
And we can talk about that SOB Saddam all we want and not be hypocritical, simply because we in no way forced the cracker to use bio/chem weapons systems on people. And it doesn’t matter where he got the stuff. It remains a fact that HE did it.
