I'm no happier about some of Bush's giveaway spending recently than I am about the Democratic budget busting. The recent bloated budgets are a geniune bipartisan effort.
I do think the increased security and defense spending is justified, but other items like the farm bill, the steel tariff, and other largely election-driven pork did not exactly represent Bush's finest moments as a Republican.
