Hi Tom,
The more we know about things and can become very logical, then you see there has to be a reason behind every motion of energy in the universe.
Believe me - I know why everyone hates this concept. It means one ultimately has to take personal responsibility for all that happens to one - which is not a problem when good things happen to us, but bad things are another story altogether.
The formula for a pilot crashing a plane can often include strong fear. Show fear to a barking dog and even if its tiny, it'll chase you and bite you. If the pilot made an error due to fear or fixating on death, then one can say that the consciousness and the waves it was oscillating with did contribute to the crash.
Show me something you consider truly random - and I will show you all the things that led up to that action.
This doesn't mean Wellstone deserved to die - not at all. What it means is events had been set in motion which led to his death. There are reasons - it is just for now they remain unknown to us.
This is where I think you misunderstand my position. All the bad things are not deserved or are retribution - for these are emotional interpretations. The universe is not emotional. All things are cause and effect. Random plane crashes are not random. They are the sum of many previous events. Everything that happens to us is not random - but is logical if we take an infinite view of all the events around us and our interfacing with them.
Indeed excrement is the residue sum of consumption and absorption - that is why it happens.
