I didn't say that the pilot was definitely afraid or that it was because they were going to a funeral that was the cause of the crash. Those were just WAGs* as examples of things that could have happened.

It's amazing how far the human mind will go to avoid wrapping itself around the concept of simple chaos.



The simple and humorous phrase, "Shit Happens" actually describes a profound concept which makes most people so intensely uncomfortable that they will seize on gods, conspiracies, Bilderbergers, aliens, standing waves, faeries, elementals, nature spirits, karma, Gaea, ancestors, loa, or anything else which helps convince them that Somebody Is Running Things, even if it's an evil Somebody



Chaos doesn't exist. It's a term given by those too blind to see the incredible order of the universe. The same folks who thought fire was "magic" and unexplainable wizardry, today are those who say the universe is chaotic - yet fire is a simple scientific process and so is every other thing in the universe. Even if from a certain perspective it looks chaotic.

Think about it Tom.

Chaos would mean at some point all physical laws must be repealed. Cause and effect must be suspended.

If I write this post - it didn't just appear. It is not random or the byproduct of chaos. It is a direct response to your post. The sum of your thoughts expressed and my own reaction to them moderated by many other modifiers will create what you read here.

As an engineer you gotta understand cause and effect! If something fails in a rocket - there's a reason! "Sh-- happens" doesn't explain metal stress or improper welds.

"Sh-- happens" is a cop out. If I overexpend my bank account and say well "sh-- happens" then I am going to be in big trouble in the future.

If the police respond to the sniper attacks with a "sh-- happens" they will be out of a job quickly.

As for someone "running things" - no one is running things - energy just follows certain scientific principles of motion. Science is "running" things.
