What ........that you can call anyone a crank who doesn't believe that going to war with Iraq is a good idea? I'd prefer you say that I have a differing opinion, and not just be called a "crank".
>Your argument is without merit.
My one line "zinger" does have merit....to me.
>Where do you fit, Lindy, other than merely devoutly Democratic -- or is that just devoutly anti-Republican?
Mostly just anti-Bush & Co.
However, he has always been well-heeled and trained in the art of service to self and service to business. To some people this is good. (Just ask Tom Brosz).
>Do you feel better, now?
Hardly, but I recognize that Bush will lead this country AND the world where ever he sees fit, and the bloated military budget will bludgeon anyone into subservience and perhaps bankrupt this nation. While he goes in with his smart bombs and predator drones and plays truly "live" (not virtual) war games, and people's lives, livelyhoods, neighbourhoods get blown up, etc......and the hatred and the blood letting continue; I can only wait for the World Bank and the IMF to go in and "help" these war torn countries by selling them back their water, their land, their resources.
I hope he's right, but I fear he's wrong.
But who am I to say?
And who am I to stop the wave he's riding?
At this point in time, I've lost my passion for politics and just about everything else and am looking down new avenues to refresh my tired and aching soul.
This girl is going back to nature to smell the roses and do some hiking and find some peace before the shelling begins and when America becomes a nation of bitter and needy people.
But, I could be wrong. And Ed and Tom could be right.
God bless them.
