For the record, I am opposed to the system...because it is not capable of being manned to a degree to predict attacks - but only to put pieces together after the fact.
If you look at the logo you will see that the designer of the logo put the middle east as the "focal point of the world" being watched by the all seeing-eye. Definitely many see it as an international eye, not a domestic one.
Unfortunately the corporate sector is compiling databases which are being envied by folks in the beltway. They want to add the existing mountain of data to their collection.
The logo also says it all...Knowledge IS power.
He who has those computers at his beck and call will be able to bring the world one step closer to the "enemy of the state" view of the government's abilities.
Just make sure that human-implant-chip maker isn't bought out and put to work for Darpa. That would be the next step to complete global data acquisition and monitoring. (Not ironically, FDR's Social Security card & number is used to track citizens in the same way today, just not real-time.)
Here's another quote for you:
Everyone has their own vision of how the world should be - and are working to achieve that goal.
The democrats have weakened themselves with Pelosi. Now we will get to see the conflicts between the "moderates", "the religious right", the "fiscal right" and the "new right"
For the record also, I am positioned between the moderates and the new right.
The war on terror is also the war for economic stability - funded by corporate interests and promoted by lobbyists which represent large dollars to the politicos. Bombs going off are not just deadly, but are bad for business.
In Europe it is primarily the corporate sector which is uniting - to influence their left-leaning governments to stand up and fight terror.
Darpa speak is more effectively labeled "contractor speak" and is vague enough, yet specific enough to justify congressional and other budgetary funding. There is often also an effort to conceal the actual nature of the project at times. "Flexible" rhetorical descriptions allow a project to be sold in many different ways to many different people.
