No one is denying that profiling inconveniences--or worse--a lot of innocent people, including a lot of folks who don't get the publicity a Secret Service agent's problems do.
What Mark is trying to point out is that at airports, the bizarre politically-correct negative profiling currently under way, (i.e. searching people who seem to be as far from the description of a 17-40-year-old Middle Eastern male as humanly possible), makes no sense whatsoever in light of the obvious trend he outlines.
BTW, I notice he doesn't list the snipers.
