Abortion is an individual choice. Not practiced "ON" anyone from outside forces.
All socio-economic classes have abortions.
Those which can't afford them have them provided by others.
It is in the interests of the greater society that children whose needs will not be met not be born. It is in the interests of society that children who have their emotional and physical needs met be born.
Forcing people to have unwanted children is a cruelty upon the parents and the child, a cruelty particularly practiced by Christians. I don't like cruelty.
ER below succinctly describes the punishment aspect of Christianity, a pervasive trait. Do you think children should be punished for the "sins" of their parents? Do you promote cruelty inflicted upon these people because of their parents? Unfortunately Christians in the US appear to delight in that. After all, their parents should have behaved differently.
