Ummm no they dont.... A scientist is judged by his work... trust me I spent a bit longer in academia than I wanted to... I have worked with right wing guys that were stuck in the 12th century and still got PhDs because they were good at what they did...

I find it humorous when the "right" complains about all those "educated lefties"... Kinda seems self defeating to say "the educated are lefties in their ivory towers..." What does it say but "we, the ignorant, resent the success of the educated, and if the educated dont agree with us they are obviously lefties... we hate NERDS! The educated oppose us so join us!"
