I suspect you don't tell your kids that they can do whatever the "worst" kid in school does.

I suspect that you don't think it's OK to rob banks because some people do it.

Condoning torture and killing innocent people unnecessarily, such as a 4 hour strafing of villages with a Spectre, puts people over a line, beyond a level of decency which is usually called "civilization". It's uncivilized.

I've never knowingly condoned torture, by anyone, and I won't now.

And I don't respect people who do, people who find the worst in the world and use that as a standard of their own conduct. The US, and some people on this Board, are doing that. Finding the lowest level, letting scum determine their behavior.
