Current Events » in reply to Duh! A deterrence. Sorry.

You're even stupider than I thought

First you imply that the US wouldn't be interested in sending more forces towards North Korea, because "doesn't have oil waiting to be pumped", then you claim that the US lost (or drew a tie) the Korean War, despite the fact that an outrageous communist agression was successfully repulsed, and South Korea has been allowed to flourish as a highly successful, and eventually democratic, modern Asian state. And North Korea will someday be liberated from one of the most oppressive and evil regimes on earth, and have freedom, too.

You're correct - amazingly - in that US forces act as an effective deterrent (not hostages, you moron) in South Korea against NK communist agression, but that raises the question, "Why would the US even care about who runs the Koreas, if there's no oil for us over there?" You seem to think that all the US cares about is getting our hands on other countries' oil.
