The latest revision of the death of the Palestinian boy now goes like this:
Palestinian witnesses said the slain boy, Abdel Karim Salameh, was part of a crowd of students walking home from school. Some of the boys threw stones at a passing army vehicle, and the soldiers opened fire, the witnesses said.
The original story:
...In the latest bloodshed, Abdel-Karim Salameh, 11, was hit in the head and killed by Israeli fire in the West Bank city of Tulkarm while walking home from school, about 500 yards from a crowd throwing stones at soldiers, witnesses said.
Apparently someone else noticed what I noticed, that there is no real way a kid a quarter of a mile away could have been hit on purpose, so now he has been placed by the Palestinian Witnesses a lot closer to the action. The Israelis claim they were using tear gas and rubber bullets. The boy, according doctors, was hit by a real bullet. As Drudge would say, "developing."
