AARP, along with most other leftist "special interest" political groups, has long ago abandoned any pretense of actually being interested in the well-being of their supposed constituencies in favor of a power-grabbing political agenda.
The official feminist movement in particular jumped the shark when they crawled on their knees to Bill Clinton's defense after he was accused of rape, and confessed to what in any other circumstance (i.e. not an important Democrat) would have been first degree sexual harassment.
