Nine responses and they all seem to be generally supportive of space...and one even blames space's demise on conservatives! Here's a slice from one liberal's views:
"Conservatism IS timidity, at it's very core. It's a tendency to
pull in one's antennae and stop looking for new ways to do things,
and new things to do. Conservatism is always looking backward, to
see where we've been, rather than looking forward to where we might
go next. This has effected our economic lives, and how we feel
about anything new, and it has been especially noticeable in how we
go about space research."
Well there you go - I must be wrong - it's the conservatives who've kept us out of space all these years. Why I'm going to re-register as a Democrat ASAP!
