Say what?

I'm just cruising through for a minute and caught this.....what's this?
I always wanted to go into space, even as a commercial adventure.
Now, we'll never see space travel in my life time, because the US is militarizing space, and trying to not only own it, but CONTROL it as well. For this reason you won't see me over at the Space bbs because the glitter is off the fantasy.
Besides, there might not BE much of the planet left to do any such thing if the current drum beats for war continue...

>"my staunch conservative views come from ....watching the tactics of the left smear and belittle....... space exploration."

Ever wonder why people equate your German heritage and your ideas with contemporary Nazism?
Werner von Braun was a captured Nazi scientist who pretty much all but started our program here in the US. NASA was developed and commercialized as a PUBLIC space program, with all the publicity and accroutements of space travel for the average man, when in fact, it was developed and always HAS BEEN, (not a civilian program), but a MILITARY one.
To say the left ruined it's chances, is so politically incorrect as to be almost laughable.
If you get ridiculed for some of your ideas, this is a good place for you to look at as an example.
Sorry SDAI, even though I don't have time to READ the links you put up, I'm sure I'd still be responding the same.

What claptrap!
