since I knew the Left was going to twist it into a pretzel to make Bush a "racist" from day one.

Bush is targeting specifically the quota systems at this University, which uses a system of "points" to decide if you get in. The way they have put preferences into this system is, to put it mildly, not right.

-- Being a member of the proper minority group (black, Latino, Native American) is worth 20 points. White? Asian? Arabic? Indian? Forget it.

-- Getting a perfect score on the SATs is worth 12 points.
