The VA announced this week that they will be means testing medical care
I don't have a link at the moment, but the VA's medical program for veterans is severely strained. They announced this week that more well off veterans will no longer be covered, eliminating over 250,000 vets. It's understandable, the VA's patient load has increased with an aging veteran population and the funding hasn't kept up with the demand.
There are quite a few forms of means testing in government. The income tax itself has many, many provisions that are a form of means testing, such as the Earned Income Tax Credit. Other programs like the school lunch programs are means tested.
